Just Watched Smallville - Scion - S10E16

As a self-proclaimed geek, would you be expecting anything less?
Okay, so let me preface this by saying that 9/24/10 was actually the 17th anniversary of my first date with my wife. We’ve been married now for over 10 years and I’ve now been with her for half of my wife.
Now that being said, she spent our anniversary asleep early, trying to beat the cold her students give her at the beginning of every school year - and I spent it in front of the television for the only two shows that I watch on the CW - Smallville & Supernatural.

When I was a kid, summer seemed like it would last forever, but August would come around and inevitably that feeling of “it’s not long enough” would creep in. The month would start off great with my birthday - then later in the month my brother and I would spend a couple weeks with our grandparents at the beach. Before you know it - the dreaded September was right around the corner and it was back to school for us.
But as I’ve grown older, and ultimately more geeky, I’ve come to embrace September. Sure, I love lounging in a pool with a book as much as the next guy, but now that I am a working stiff summer doesn’t have the same impact as it used it. Now, I realize that September is the month that excites me the most (barring December of course) and that is for three reasons. One, the weather cools down. Two - FOOTBALL! And Three…..
The new season of television is finally upon us!

This latest Geek Shirt is actually the first one (out of these first three) that I owned. My wife bought it for me because she saw how big a fan of Smallville I was. When I went to post this picture to the site it got me thinking. There really are two types of people that “wear” Superman. There are those superhero/comic book fans that proudly wear the House of El family crest, the Kryptonian symbol for hope, to show the world that they love the last son of Krypton.
And then there are those egomaniacs that wear it or have it tattooed because they think they are “a superman” - like Bon Jovi, Shaq, or Dwight Howard.
Me? I’m just glad that I fall on the geek/fan side of things - of course in life I find that the geeky side of the tracks is usually where I always fall.

For nine seasons, Smallville has given us the adventures of Clark Kent as he makes his journey from alien visitor, to superpowered farm boy, to heroic reporter.
Now, as we look ahead to the tenth and final season, I am hoping that we see him make that final step. The one we all know is coming. The one that is his destiny.
Will we finally see Superman?
